On 15 October 1930 a 6ft 6in trough [2474] was erected at Wellgarth Road, Golders Green. This trough was located on the corner of Wellgarth Road and North End Road. It contained the inscription: "GEORGE & ANNIS BILLS. AUSTRALIA." This trough was taken into care by Borough Engineer's department during the Wellgarth Road development, with a promise of re-erection when the road works were complete. It never re-appeared again!
