Comments | Dublin.S.P.C.A North side city. Ex Bethnal Green. I believe this trough was originally erected in April 1880 at the junction of Great Eastern Street & Old Street, Bethnal Green, as MDFCTA number [0717]. The gift of Mr. J.H.Buxton. £50.0.0. In April 1896 it was removed by order of vestry. In July 1897 it was erected in Bethnal Green, Cambridge Road near St. John’s church, as MDFCTA number [1355]. In 1938 it was moved to the council depot. I assume it was moved to the Bethnal Green council depot to Dublin at the behest of the Dublin S.P.C.A in 1951. This trough is one of many donated by J.H. Buxton. |
