CommentsBlackpool, South Shore prom ex Chelsea Bridge. The MDFCTA records for this trough are confusing. Firstly, in the entry for Blackpool it is described as a type 1d trough, but it lacks any sign of a fountain head. Secondly, it is described as ex-Chelsea Bridge [1720]. The records for MDFCTA trough [1720] describe it as Type 1c trough 9ft 6in (which agrees with the extant trough in Blackpool) with the location Chelsea Bridge. Trough [1720] is described as moved to Blackpool. See 2998. So far, so good. Trough [1720] at Chelsea bridge is also described as "was City of London", also with MDFCTA number [1720], also a Type 1c trough 9ft 6in at Tower Hill by Barking Alley (Byward Street). However, this trough [1720], erected in April 1907, is described as Paid for by Lady Banbury £50.0.0. In memory of her father TB Beale Esq. Transferred to Chelsea Embankment Chelsea Bridge and 18ft trough from latter place erected in its stead August 1912. There is no mention of A.Lloyd with the year 1893 for this trough in any of the MDFCTA records. This trough is one of many donated by Lady Banbury.
