CommentsThis trough was originally near Ventnor Railway Station. Paid for by local subscription for Miss Wyndham of Our Dumb Friends League. It was originally placed near the Ventnor Station yard and was bought privately in 1948, and later donated to the Ventnor Botanic Gardens in 1971. This trough was originally "Sondersburgh Road No. 2", with MDFCTA number [1324], erected in September 1894, near the Seven Sisters Road. In memory of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ayling. Cost £50.0.0. In 1907 it was removed from Sondersburgh Road and re-erected in same year at Ventnor Isle of Wight, as MDFCTA number [1737]
