Comments | I'm not sure if this is an MDFCTA trough. The trough does not include any inscriptions but the inscription on the fountain is "THIS FOUNTAIN WAS ERECTED BY THE PARISHIONERS OF COULSDON TO COMMEMORATE THE JUBILEE OF THE GLORIOUS REIGN OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN VICTORIA AD 1897". The MDFCTA records include an un-numbered type 1a trough in the district of Coulsdon & Purley at Kenley but I think it's unlikely that this trough is an MDFCTA structure. Does anyone know the history and provenance of this trough? |
