| Comments | The fountain was erected by the Rt. Hon John Baron Savile, GCB in 1894. The Saviles were a wealthy family, Thornhill Hall, near Dewsbury, was their chief residence. Although this combined trough/fountain is very similar to MDFCTA structures in Forest Gate, Padiham and Halifax there is no evidence that the MDFCTA were involved in its installation. |
